FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is home watch, and how is it different from a house sitter?

Home watch is a scheduled inspection of your empty home by a professional. It’s not overnight care and nobody stays in your home. If you need daily pet care or someone living in the house, a house sitter is the better fit.

How often do you visit?

Weekly or bi-weekly, based on the plan you choose. We can also do a single pre-arrival visit before you return. We have options that fit every client’s need.

What happens if you find a problem?

We photograph it, note it in your report, and call you directly if it’s urgent. If you’d like us to coordinate a vendor, we can arrange that and stay on site while the work is done.

Do you handle short-term rental turnovers?

Not currently. We focus on absentee owners and seasonal residents, aka snowbirds in the Coachella Valley area (Where I live).

What does it cost?

Rates start at $65 per visit. Full pricing is on our pricing page.

How do you get into my home?

Through a lockbox, smart lock, or key you provide, per a signed access agreement. We never subcontract access to your home to anyone outside our team.

What if my home has a pool or spa?

Pool and spa checks are included in every visit at no extra charge.

Can I request a same-week start?

Usually, yes, if we have room on the roster. Contact us and we’ll confirm.

Can you get my mail/amazon packages for me?

Yes, not a problem. I will also notify you if any important mail arrives, which needs an urgent reply (DMV/Jury Duty, etc).
