Cabana Home Watch looks after ten desert homes. Yours could be one of them. Weekly visits, photographed and documented, from the same person every single time.Your house does not sit still while you are gone.
A slab leak does not wait for October. Neither does a failed AC compressor in July, a pool pump that quits, a landscape line that ruptures, or a utility bill that quietly climbs for five months with nobody watching.
Most desert homes sit empty for half the year. The damage that turns into a five figure repair almost never announces itself. It starts small, it goes unnoticed, and it compounds. The point of home watch is to catch it in week one instead of month five.

What we Do
Every Week. Same person. Same checklist.
A visit is not a drive by. It is a walk through the property inside and out, with the same eyes each time, so changes get noticed.
- Interior walk through: ceilings, walls, and floors checked for water, staining, or movement
- Every fixture run: faucets, toilets, and drains cycled so seals do not dry out and traps do not go empty
- HVAC verified running and holding its setpoint, with filter and condensate line checked
- Pool and spa: water level, equipment running, no visible line or seal failure
- Exterior and landscape: irrigation, roof line, gates, and anything that has moved since last week
- Doors, windows, and alarm confirmed secure before leaving
- Mail, packages, and flyers cleared so the house never looks vacant
You get a photo report the same day, timestamped, with anything worth flagging called out plainly. If something needs a vendor, we coordinate it and can stay on site or come back.
Why this is different
Ten homes. That is the limit.
Most home watch companies serve as many houses as they can sign. We cap the roster at ten. It means your home gets real attention rather than a nine minute stop between fourteen others, and it means when you call, you are not waiting behind a queue.
When the roster is full, it is full. We keep a short waitlist.
You get the owner. Every time.
No rotating staff, no subcontractors, no one you have not met walking through your house. The person who answers your call is the person holding your keys and the person standing in your kitchen on Friday morning. That is the entire company, on purpose.

We watch the meter, not just the door.
This is the part nobody else does. Between visits, we monitor your utility usage for the patterns that signal a problem before it is visible: a jump in water use that means a leak underground, an AC unit that stops cycling at night because it is failing, a solar system that quietly stopped producing months ago.
A house can look perfect on a walk through and still be bleeding money. One of the most expensive failures in the valley is the one that shows up on a bill in July, long after it started. We find those in week one.
How it works
- A short call and a walk through of your home together, so we learn its quirks before you leave
- You choose weekly or every other week, and how long you will be gone
- Visits begin the week you go, reports arrive the same day
